Ultrasound Noor and Vida / Ultralyd Noor og Vida

I går var det klart for ultralyd på Noor og Vida. Og nå kan vi endelig begynne og glede oss, for det viser seg at begge tispene er drektige og venter valper. Hos Noor kunne vi se 2 valper og hos Vida 5 valper. Det kan imidlertid bli flere. Dersom man vil ha eksakt antall før fødsel må det tas røntgen mot slutten av drektighetsperioden. 

Noor har termin 15. november og Vida har termin 17. november.

Exciting days ahead in Snykovet Siberian Husky Kennel. Ultrasound yesterday confirmed that two of our Siberian husky females (Noor and Vida) mated 4.5 weeks ago with two lovely males (Varg and Nasse) from Kennel Ulveblikk in Trondheim are now pregnant. One of them (Noor) with two or more pups, and the other (Vida) with five or more pups . This photo shows one of Vida´s pups. Due dates are Nov 15 (Noor: the "Adventure" litter) and Nov 17-18 (Vida: the "Born to run" litter). We will keep one female pup ourselves from one of these litters, increasing our team of Siberians to six.

Vida and Noor - finally time for ultrasound - about 4.5 weeks after mating with Kennel Ulveblikk males Nasse and Varg. Big thanks to Silje Mari Eriksen and Marit Sørensen who helped with dogs and phototakings.

Vet Bente Akselsen at her brand new animal hospital Dyreklinikken Tromsø examining Noor. Palpation and ultrasound revealed 2 pups. We are hoping for a few more.
