Snykovet Husky Headband December 2022 Edition

A special treat for my knitting followers: This post includes the diagram and pattern for the SNYKOVET HUSKY HEADBAND Christmas 2022 edition.

These headbands are knitted in wool for outdoor fun with our dogs all year round. I also fit a thin fleece inside to keep the wind out.

I mix and create new color combinations for each headband so that none of them are identical using yarn from Fargeverket, lettlopi, vidda from Hillesvåg Ullvarfabrikk and svensk ull.  These wools are extremely endurable, warm and comforting, but still feels light to wear. They come in amazing colors and are such fun to work with! See photos attached and my Instagram account for inspiration.

Husky headband diagram: Each husky = 8 stiches

Gauge: 2 x 8 stitches (the husky headband diagram) = 8 cm

Circumference: 54 cm (14 huskies)

Cast on 112 stitches (sts) on needles 4 mm, join in the round. Knit 2 rounds of rib (knit one, purl one (k1p1)) – these are the first two lines of the diagram. Continue knitting the diagram avoiding long stretches of yarn on the wrong side by twist the yarns every second or third stitch. Finish with 2 rounds of rib in cerise. Then bind off. Weave in ends of the wool yarn. Carefully damp the headband. Insert a matching thin fleece on inside the headband to keep the wind out.

Lots of love and a Happy New Year to all of you from Team Snykovet
