Update Sept-Oct: New Additions

Crossing mountains from Skulsfjorden on bumpy tracks.
With cows and reindeer crossing in front of us.

We have completed 17 trips with the dogs adding up to 185 km in total this September and October so far. Raymond´s cousin, Jonny Mikalsen, has joined Team Snykovet to help out when I am out of town. The heat created a lot of stress among the males, but by the end of September hormone levels were back to normal and the boys Loke and Birk could finally collaborate.

The dogs work better and better together. They are focused and eager to run and pull. Routines are working better, and we are all happy and enthusiastic about the development. We all know the drill and adjust as we go along.

- in this case. Normally one of us run next to the leading dogs
on hilly slopes and very bumpy tracks like this one.

We have visited several new places outside of Tromsø where we can run the dogs in a more varied terrain with hills and bumpy roads. Learning to cope with unknown places. New challenges for both the dogs and us. Straumsbukta and Skulsfjorden at Kvaløya are among our favorite places to visit. We have also visited the mainland (not far from Skittenelv Camping) and Ringvassøya (Dåfjorden and Skogsfjorden). Next week we will spend the weekend at Senja to do longer runs on hiking trails. We look forward to new challenges and experiences.
