Beaskádas Trail 2026: 2nd place

Ida-Helene and the dogs got a first glimpse of the sun at the first race of the season in early January.

Beaskádas Trail was a very cold experience - as it often is - with close to minus 38 degrees Celsius and chill breeze. All our dogs had thermo jackets and booties on to avoid frost injuries.

Ida-Helene did the 50 km 6 dog class and came in second with an average speed of 13 km/h and 15 km/h on the two legs of the race.

So nice also that Marit could be part of the handler team - we had a wonderful weekend together.

This is the first time that we have raced with four dogs from our own breeding in the team:

Yukon - Nahanni (lead)
Nome - Myra (team)
Tulita - Chloe (wheel)

Yukon and Nahanni are owned by Ida-Helene - Tulita and Nome by Marit and Andreas - they are all after NTCH Nova av Viddashusky and Sirius av Ulvhild.
