We are keeping our fingers crossed for puppies after beautiful Sirius av Ulvhild and Nova av Viddashusky. Nova was mated this weekend in Narvik (June 11, day 13). We will do an ultrasound in 3 weeks time (July 4). If all goes well the next litter of Snykovet puppies are expected to be born around August 13. It´s been 4.5 years since our last litter and we are of course super excited!

Breeding in collaboration with Ida-Helene Sivertsen, Dag Starup Moen and Berit.

UPDATE June 20
Nova was mated a second time by Sirius in Narvik June 20 (on day 22). We have rescheduled the ultrasound appointment to July 15. New due date around Aug 22.

Pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound July 18 (4 weeks pregnant). Five fetuses were observed during the examination. Due date Aug 22.

UPDATE August 15
Nova has increased her weight from 21 to more than 28 kg, and the x-ray at Malangen Veterinærsenter shows that she is carrying six puppies in her belly.

Sirius is a close relative to Ida-Helene´s lead dog - and hearth dog - Skádja av Slidre Fiord (she is his aunt). He reminds us so much of her - both in behaviour and looks. His grandfather is Shaytaan´s Psycho Killer - an amazing lead dog - a four times Yucon Quest finisher and one time Iditarod finisher. Sirius himself is still young - but a very promising lead dog and a brilliant trotter. He has an amazing temper - a very sweet and social boy.

Irresistible and impressing Nova was the physically most robust female in our FL600 team finishing the race together with Ida-Helene this winter. She is beautifully buildt, sweet tempered and super smart.
